APPROVAL OF THE PARTNERS IN PRINT GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SARASOTA COUNTY
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $150,500 will allow the Executive Director of Elementary Schools to support schools' efforts to develop literacy programs for students and parents. The Partners in Print series will be purchased and made available to elementary schools. Workshops will be presented to parents to increase parent involvement, improve literacy skills and improve student reading achievement.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the Partners in Print grant proposal.
